Dire,I'm switching over to Verizon FIOS,if you can get it I would suggest you do likewise,Comcast still acts like they have a monopoly,no clue about customer service now that they have to actually compete.

I just switched from Time Warner high speed to Verizon FIOS (about the same price on both). FIOS is at least twice as fast, despite the fact that the area connection speed reads 100 Mbps on both.

I've had verizon DSL for 2 or 3 years now and no issues at all. Download 200 MB in about 10-15 min usually.

"aha! so that's why I can't dial in Looseless legs anywhere except thru Mozilla Firefox".

Your ISP can block certain URLs no matter what browser you're using. Same problems with AT&T/Yahoo DSL. I'm beginning to believe that Microsoft is doing this because they control what Internet Explorer sees on the internet.

They haven't messed with U Torrent as far as I can tell; because it can be encryted if you change the settings for this purpose.

Anything beats the shit out of Comcast's sleazy tatics. I hope they block somebody's access to open source torrents such as those huge LINUX updates and get sued for this kind of crap. This finally made the regular TV newscasts and isn't just on the computer pages any more...
